I have been a fan of automotive design for a very long time. In fact to become a car designer was my original motif to study industrial design. Who wasn't, right? However the path I chose later really set me apart from this dream. But the urge of creating something related still excites me everyday.
Chico is a personal challenge and practice for me to test my ability to design a conceptual vehicle that is elegant, minimal, and also adorable. The whole concept was 99% aesthetic driven so there really isn't much to talk about in terms of functionality. Chico is also a representation of my personal taste towards vehicles. As cars are getting more and more sculptural these days, I still prefer the clean and uniformed curvatures on the cars from the 60s and the 70s.
